Toffeln - Footwear Chooser

Does it have to be washable?

Washable Footwear

Surface Disinfectable

This type of footwear is the most commonly used and these are generally a more comfortable option as our soft leather insoles tend to adapt to the foot's shape and give better breathability. However, footwear must be designed for compatibility with disinfectant - and have coated leather uppers. The Toffeln 'Sterile Clean' system is safe to use on all Toffeln footwear. Does it have to be antistatic?

Antistatic Footwear

Why Antistatic?

Static electricity has a long history of causing problems in sensitive locations - especially in operating theatres. Antistatic footwear is still one of the best ways of tackling this to reduce:

  • Potentially serious impact on delicate surgical procedures
  • Interference with sensitive electronic equipment
  • Static's ability to attract contaminated dust particles and spread infection

A recent study has shown that eliminating static from your body could also help reduce stress.

Most styles are antistatic, check for symbol.
